School Counseling

School counselors provide a range of services to support each and every student in the development of academic skills, executive functioning skills and overall well being. This is accomplished through data-driven, student-focused school-wide programs, whole group lessons, small group lessons and individual counseling support. School counselors also provide connection to school-based (CMCSS social workers, Centerstone counselors, Military Family Life Counselors) and community-based resources. Parent/guardian consent is always obtained prior to providing any student or family information to non-CMCSS supports.

School Counseling Mission & Vision 

The Mission of Rossview Elementary School is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that aligns with ASCA National Standards and the TN Comprehensive school counselor model.  The program will focus on academic, career and personal/social development. Counselors will provide a safe, positive environment for students to build a foundation of life-long learning by demonstrating respect, effort, attitude, cooperation, and honesty.

The Vision: Students will become life-long learners in an environment that will demonstrate respect for others as well as themselves and understand an appreciation of our world.

In accordance with this law, elementary school counselors provide sexual abuse prevention lessons to all students in grades Kindergarten - 5th grade. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your student’s school counselor.
